About me
I was born in Kaltenkirchen in the autumn 1968, a city north of Hamburg, where I went to school until starting my apprenticeship as butcher. This was a matter of course, for my parents and grand parents had owned a butcher shop. However, it was a bit unfulfilling for me, that is why I studied food technology when I turned twenty three.
For more than twenty years I have been working full-time in the food additive industry thus still supporting the meat sector globally. To further my career I have lived in Italy for three and a half years until spring 2013.
I have loved the mystic worlds hidden between the cover of a book since my childhood. Especially, I am fascinated by fantasy stories, but once writing a book by myself was not part of my plans. One day my dear god child Ann-Kathrin, six years old at that time, asked me to tell her a story and as by magic, a door leading to fictive tales was pushed open. Henceforth I have been writing during every free minute without being sure where the adventures would take me. Waiting at airports, long nights in hotels: taking my laptop at hand and it was time for new chapters. Ann-Kathrin received her story!
Furthermore, a second passion of my childhood dozed inside of me that was revealed by writing: painting. That is why my paintings are not only hanging on the walls of my home in Bad Schwartau and those of friends and relatives, but also my first book has been decorated with several lovely pictures.
Since 1994 I have been married to my dear wife Tanja in whom I have found a patient and invaluable partner on the paths through my books. Her support has turned out the big adventures of the small heroes of what they are today.
For me it is very important that my books include plenty of humour, thrill from the first to the last page and no glorification of violence. The reader should dive into worlds leading his or her fantasies to mystic creatures and places that are thought provoking and will make them forget the everyday life, and having pure fun!

Mantrailing (searching for missing people) with my dogs.
I'm a skilled Mantrailing-Trainer and convenor in our club, DTK. 1888 e.V., Group Lübeck.
